We’re Just Business Owners Who Love Jesus – Not Perfect, Forgiven

This Directory Isn’t for the Perfect—It’s for the Faithful

We want to make something clear right from the start: the Christian businesses listed in this directory are not perfect. None of us are. This isn’t a collection of “the best of the best” or a showcase of who’s holier than whom. This is simply a group of people who love Jesus and own businesses. That’s it.

We’re plumbers, photographers, stylists, tutors, and handymen. We’re moms running businesses from home and dads trying to provide for their families. Some of us are single, just trying to pay rent and walk out our calling one client at a time. But we all have one thing in common—we belong to Jesus. We’re on His team, and we’re doing our best to honor Him in our work.

What It Means to Be a Christian Business

Being a Christian business doesn’t mean you only serve Christians. It doesn’t mean you play worship music in the background or have Bible verses on your website (though some of us do). It means we try to live out our faith through honesty, kindness, hard work, and integrity. We don’t always get it right—but we’re trying.

We believe in Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Whether we’re fixing a leaky faucet or designing a logo, we do it like it’s for Jesus—because, in a way, it is.

No One on This Directory Is “Better” Than Anyone Else

This isn’t a list of perfect saints. It’s a list of broken people who’ve been made whole by God’s grace. We all have a past. We’ve all made mistakes. Some of us used to cheat on our taxes, lie to customers, gossip at work, or cut corners just to get ahead. Others struggled with addictions, anger, jealousy, or pride. All of that is called sin—and we’ve all done it.

The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” That includes us. It includes you. It includes every person who’s ever lived—except Jesus.

So What Is Sin, Really?

Sin isn’t just the “big stuff” like murder or stealing. It’s any time we disobey God’s perfect standard. It’s when we lie, even a little. It’s when we lust, hate, envy, or ignore the needs of others. It’s when we put ourselves above God, thinking we know better. Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 that even looking at someone with lust is adultery in the heart. That’s how high the standard is. None of us measure up.

And the result of that sin? Romans 6:23 says, “The wages of sin is death.” That means separation from God, both now and forever. That’s the bad news. But keep reading, because the verse doesn’t stop there.

Here’s the Good News

Romans 6:23 continues: “…but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” That’s the gospel. The good news is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived a perfect life without sin. He never lied, never cheated, never failed. And yet, He willingly went to the cross to take the punishment for our sins.

He was beaten, mocked, and nailed to a cross—not because He deserved it, but because we did. He suffered in our place, paying the debt we owed. Isaiah 53:5 says, “He was pierced for our transgressions… the punishment that brought us peace was on him.”

Three days later, He rose from the dead, proving He is who He said He is—Lord, Savior, and King. And now, anyone who turns from their sin and trusts in Him can be saved. Not because we’re good enough—but because He is.

You Can Be Made New

Whether you’re a business owner or someone just reading this by chance, know this: Jesus sees you. He knows everything about you, and He still loves you. You don’t have to clean yourself up before coming to Him. You come as you are—and He does the cleaning.

If you’ve never trusted Jesus as your Savior, we invite you to do that today. Just talk to Him. Admit your sin. Ask Him to forgive you. Trust that He died and rose again for you. The Bible says in Romans 10:13, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

We’re Just People—But He’s a Perfect Savior

The On Team Jesus directory is full of imperfect people. But we serve a perfect Savior. We run businesses, pay bills, make mistakes, and lean on grace every day. If that’s you too—welcome. We’re honored to serve you. And we’d love to see your business added to the directory if you’re on Team Jesus too.

And if you’ve never met Him—we’d love to introduce you.
