Happy New Year: New Pricing, Same Mission, More Options
Starting January 1st, we’re officially rolling out our new pricing structure for the Christian Business Directory.
We now offer two listing options:
- A free listing
- A premium listing for $7 per month
We wanted a model that made sense for business owners, didn’t create a financial burden, and still delivered real value. Not “feel good” value. Actual, measurable, practical value.
Why We Added a Free Listing Option
Let’s start here.
Not every business owner is in the same place. Some are just starting out. Some are rebuilding. Some are testing the waters. Some simply want visibility without another monthly commitment.
We get that.
The free listing exists because we want Christian business owners to be discoverable, even if they never spend a dollar with us.
That alone aligns with our mission.
But the premium listing exists for a different reason.
Why $7?
We didn’t land on $7 by accident. (it seems ‘perfect’)
We intentionally priced the premium listing so low that most business owners don’t even have to think about it. It’s the kind of number that mentally rounds down to zero.
It’s not a “marketing expense.”
It’s not a gamble.
It’s not a budget conversation.
For most businesses, $7 per month is less than:
- A single fast-food meal
- A coffee habit for one day
- One forgotten subscription you’re already paying for
If a price point causes hesitation, the problem isn’t the price. It’s the value.
So let’s talk about the value.
What the Premium Listing Actually Does
This is where directories usually fall apart.
Ours doesn’t.
A premium listing isn’t about feeling included. It’s about positioning.
Here’s what premium members get:
- Priority placement above free listings
- A direct link to their website (helps with SEO)
- The ability to display positive-only reviews (testimonies)
- Ongoing visibility to hundreds of unique local visitors
This isn’t fluff. This is how customers search and how search engines work.
Why SEO Alone Justifies the Cost
Even if no one ever contacted you through the directory, the SEO benefit alone justifies the $7.
Search engines care about:
- Real websites linking to real businesses
- Context and relevance
- Niche authority
- Consistency over time
A properly structured directory listing checks all of those boxes.
And unlike random directories that exist purely for link schemes, this one has actual traffic, real users, and a clear purpose.
That matters.
Why Customers Actually Use a Christian Business Directory
This isn’t theoretical.
People already do this. They just do it informally.
- They ask friends at church
- They ask small groups
- They ask other business owners
- They ask, “Who do you trust?”
A directory simply organizes that behavior.
Some real-world examples:
- A family wants a contractor in their home and prefers someone with similar values
- A business owner wants to hire another business owner who understands integrity and follow-through
- A parent wants services aligned with how they raise their kids
- Someone had a bad experience and wants a safer starting point
They aren’t looking for perfection.
They’re looking for alignment.
A directory gives them a starting place.
Not Just “Religious Businesses”
You don’t need a cross in your logo.
You don’t need Bible verses on your website.
You don’t need to market yourself as a “Christian brand.”
You just need to be a business owner who aligns with the values behind the directory.
That’s it.
We are intentionally not making this weird, preachy, or exclusionary.
It’s practical.
Why Premium Members Benefit More Over Time
Directories compound.
The earlier your listing exists, the longer it ages, the more authority it builds, and the more value it creates.
Premium listings benefit first because:
- They’re seen first
- They’re clicked more often
- They receive more trust by proximity and placement
- Their links age longer
Waiting doesn’t improve outcomes. It just delays them.
Why We’re Comfortable Saying This Isn’t for Everyone
We’re not chasing everyone.
The free listing exists for a reason.
The premium listing exists for a reason.
If you want to support the directory, get better placement, and gain SEO value for a price that barely registers, premium makes sense.
If not, a free listing still gives you visibility.
Either way, we’re glad you’re here.
Final Thought Going Into 2026
We didn’t price this to maximize revenue.
We priced it to remove friction.
We wanted something that:
- Didn’t create financial pressure
- Delivered real business value
- Helped good businesses get found
- Encouraged participation without guilt
If even one customer finds your business through the directory, it pays for itself many times over.
And for most premium members, that happens sooner than expected.
