About Ms. Jane
She is a dyslexia consultant, advocate, screener, and educator, certified at the Masters Level in the Orton-Gillingham-based Barton Reading & Spelling System. With a teaching certification, an MA in Teaching, and a BA in Psychology & Communications, she offers private tutoring. As a mother of three, including a child with dyslexia, she has experience in special and mainstream education. She is passionate about early intervention and remediation of dyslexia, believing that everyone can learn to read and write well!

“I just want to do tutoring all day,” is what I hear after every tutoring session from my eight-year-old daughter. I don’t think there is a more ringing endorsement than that. Audrey would not be where she is today with her reading and writing if it were not for Ms. Jane. Learning that your child has dyslexia can be scary and overwhelming, but Ms. Jane has helped us to navigate this very difficult journey with confidence rather than fear. Ms. Jane researched and recommended the best neuropsychologist for our daughter, advocated for us at multiple school IEP meetings, and provided us with information and techniques to better help our daughter learn and grow. She focuses on Dyslexia tutoring but goes above and beyond, looking at all of Audrey’s educational needs and suggesting multiple resources to help her in all areas of study. I truly don’t know what we would do without her. Ms. Jane goes above and beyond during every session to make learning fun, while maximizing the developmental progress made. I appreciate her systematic, multisensory approach and I see Audrey gaining not only valuable skills, but confidence as well. Ms. Jane has been one of the most impactful people in our lives.
For nearly three years, she worked one-on-one with two of my three children-at home, virtually, and at their charter school-providing dyslexia therapy three to four days per week. She entered our lives during an incredibly difficult time, as I was going through a divorce, and in the midst of so much change, she became a steady, trusted constant for my kids.
Ms. Jane has a rare and remarkable gift: she teaches children with learning challenges with deep compassion, patience, and just the right amount of structure. She believed in my children when they were struggling to believe in themselves. Ms. Jane was my dyslexia therapist for almost three years. She patiently taught me how to read, write, and most importantly believe in myself. She was there during some of the hardest times in my life, including my parents’ divorce, and still found ways to make me laugh and turn my tears into smiles.
I will always remember my special time with her and will forever be grateful for her kindness, dedication, and belief in me. I am a better version of myself because of her. Today, I’m a high school freshman making A’s and B’s plus 1 am a cheerleader!
